And if they don't, they'll find someone who will. Medical care just ain't the same for the elites and the rest of us. (even if you live in a socialized healthcare paradise)
The USA doesn't have lifelong rulers because one wise one set term limits upon himself. It takes a saint of unimaginable charity, to shackle themselves for the sake of preserving the sanctity of the offices of all those to come thereafter.
"By presidential decree, all representatives of parliament, representatives of their constituants and representatives of the People first and foremost, must always have all their medical care take place in the WORST or SECOND-WORST publicly-accessible, publicly-reviewed medical facility in their represented district. This will ensure they fight for advancement of medical facilities and medical care for all in their district, for it also means advancing their own care. To prevent merely shutting down all low-ranked facilities, they must also be at the bottom of any waiting list or triage, with no legal allowances or means to expedite their treatment."
That's all it would take. And it would also be signing a death warrant for the one putting it in place, because you can't turn around medical facilities that quickly, so the one putting it forth would have inevitable terrible medical treatment.
I like that law. Need another one that requires Congress to fly coach and to always sit in the seat in the back of the plane right in front of the bathroom or if they try to make that a nice seat the seat with the least leg room and lowest pitch if you try to recline it.

I recall a proposal to make members of Congress have the same health-care as average Americans.
Is there any way to have the nomenklatura suffer the way real people do?
There is a way: An elected pariah sets it forth.
