I guess I don't have to worry about being hollow, because I'm not really concerned about Afghan women.
I actually get the idea that most of the concern is Western women being concerned for the Afghan women. I don't see the planes covered in women trying to escape. It's also not like Afghanistan is unique. Should we also go invade and indefinitely occupy Saudi Arabia for their women's rights too?
It's not about Afghan women, it's about setting a precedent for sending men to die for "women's rights" and have that accepted by those men.
The correct answer to people crying about the women there is to remind them women are perfectly capable of fighting and I'm sure the government wouldn't mind dumping a few thousand feminists over there to save the women.
I wonder if they dumped a few thousand feminists over there and they were successful, how many of the Afghan women would go along anyway? That would be a fun to watch spectacle.
I'm only concerned about the people (men and women) we gave promises and expectations to, and then turned around and said "haha fuck you you're on your own now". But they really need to defend themselves. The guys hanging on the airplane could've picked up a gun.
That's something I've been torn on. I definitely don't want the US to be over there taking care of Afghans forever, but how to deal with that bed that's already made I'm unsure. I know it wouldn't be just all taking off and flying away overnight with no forethought and abandoning millions of equipment is not what I'd be doing.

They would gladly turn into feminist sex slaves like NXIVM.
