I tried online dating for a while. Now I don’t deny it can be rough for women with dirty comments but in the sense of opportunity an average looking woman will get a ton of messages. I could send like 100 messages and be lucky to get 5 responses.
If you've ever seen a girls tinder you'll never use the app again.
Just wanted to reply to emphasize this.
About 5 years ago now I was new at a job in Seoul, South Korea, and I was trying to get to know my new coworkers. I'd quickly learn they were the typical early/mid 20s vapid SoCal types, but MAN, I was blown away.
I shared a cab with these two girls on the way over to Hongdae or Itaewon (Can't remember) and just watched them open their Tinder and interact with it.
Where any guy might take a little time and parse through girls, maybe send a message on one or two people -- these girls were just LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT... "oh, he's cute" RIGHT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT -- in about 12 seconds.
Then they bemoaned how the radius was only 200km or whatever.
The moment really stayed with me because I knew that's how it was, but it was totally wild seeing it live.
Kind of ironic I met my wife on Tinder a few years later (it's the only real way to date in Korea for expats. My wife is not American, though).
Man, just the thought of seeing that right in front of me makes me want to just drop everything and join a monastery. Maybe Mt. Athos.
I dated a woman who had a few younger sisters and younger cousins, I was in the inner circle too. God it is insane. Like a new guy every weekend from the time they are 18 in college until they start seriously dating someone to marry at 27±, likely even earlier than college too. I knew a girl whos older cousin used to take her clubbing at age 14, she was "stacked" enough that she passed for 18. They short term date some guy because their friends like him. Get a few STDs, thankfully curable or you lie by omission. The hubby that she dates for 1 year then marries doesnt know about her past, or maybe he doesnt want to know, or accepts it.
Im leaning towards "accepting it" because I have heard from a few coworkers who were getting off early from work were told to tell their wives they are coming home early, because they dont want "any surprises" when they get home.
The stories, oh god the stories.... lost condom that was found 2 days later, "I tore his foreskin", "i bought this stranger a drink so he gave me free coke", "laughed out of bed for having a small dick", the sorority challenges of banging multiple guys, the "rugburn challenge" (who can get the biggest rugburn on her back), the sorority event gift box that includes a set of fuzzy handcuffs, the passing the hot guy around to the entire sorority, the "entire sports team" challenge..... its just ..... who wants a woman like that for more than a good time. That is all those women will ever be good for. Its so normal to them because all of their friends participate in the same behavior so they see no problem with it. These women get married to normal good guys. Its just a giant facade.
Ive been so disgusted I havent dated in 5 years, despite being what these desperate late 20s early 30s women want: tall, in shape, blonde, green eyed, wealthy. I had one a friend of a friend that apparently i was unknowingly getting too close to offered to pay for an airplane ticket to fly me out to her on her vacation. She was in the military, was in a sorority in college, works in a male dominated field, was previously married... all the red flags. Hell no! no no no!
