I understand what you're saying, though, but I'm trying to get it into people's thick skulls, the ones who are still asking for permission and running away from the problems, rather than facing them. Do you think anyone that fought, in the entirety of human history, didn't have family?
Oh nah, 100% agree with you. But if I was in that guy's particular situation...It's clear no help is coming for you. Sure you get 5 minutes' coverage on Fox, maybe you're on Page 3 of the paper in an article slanted toward the ex-wife. I'd like to say I'd grab my kid and run, other than that it's what, suicide by cop? Then you're dead and the ex gets the kid anyway.
Shame on his neighbors for leaving him out to dry and shame on all of us for not doing anything to help the man out, I guess.
Fleeing for that reason would result in a worldwide APB to hunt them down. If they had survival skills and escaped into a massive jungle in the Congo, our government would demand their government burn it all down to flush them out.
That sort of revenge is secondary to the childs safety. The priority should be to flee the country with the child.
