I can't count the number of times I've read on HalfKiA, "I know the producers and the talent involved with X are all racist shitbags who hate me, and that X is nothing like what I want X to be, but I can't wait to buy it anyway because I'm such a huge fan of the franchise."
It's just unreal. I want to grab these people and say, "GET A LIFE!"
There was always a certain cohort who didn't like the other people they ended up being thrown into the pit with and tried their damnedest to limit the scope of their opposition to the regime in an attempt to avoid being completely cast out of polite society.
These people for example didn't understand what the big deal was when the exact same activist crowd wanted women in the Boy Scouts. Or wanted to do the exact same thing to comic books as they did to video games. Or Open Source.
