They have ruined period pieces. And this diversity obsession makes me very unlikely to watch any new shows unless someone I trust recommends it. I don’t understand why they can’t just research African, Asian, Hispanic, or Native folklore. I guess it’s easier to take European stories and race swapping while the shills heap praise upon you.
THERE is a "Kingdom of Biafra" on some old maps which were made by early white explorers of the west coast of Africa. Nobody is now sure what that kingdom was, what its laws and arts and tools were like. No tales survive of the kings and queens.
It's a really good piece actually. The West-worshipping (also literally, as Christians) Biafrans got so fucked by both the Brits and the Soviets working together.

Glad I cancelled Netflix
Africans never wrote down any of their "rich history" of killing and eating each other because they never developed a written language.
Reminded me of Vonnegut's haunting account of his trip to Baifra: http://journeytoforever.org/rrlib/biafra.html

They’re pretty racist - they don’t believe black folklore would be worth watching
Even urban legend stories can be cool. Like Candyman, or Tales from the Hood (uber campy shit but my guilty pleasure).
I didn’t think I’d like tales from the hood but it was actually enjoyable
It's not.
Name your favorite black folklore
Good point
