Why do they have to be a Trojan Horse for something else? Why can't they just be terrifyingly dystopian and personally invasive all on their own?
Because to far too many people they aren't, and it has to be spelled out for them.
Worse than cashless. Cashless doesn't cover the reality of it at all. Most people already think we are a cashless society, or that cash is vestigial and could be cut out without much change.
The goal is a controllable currency where TPTB get to decide what you can and can't spend your money on. It's replacing currency with digital rationing. It's replacing the last vestiges of the free market with top down class structure that will finally eliminate the risk of upstart competition once and for all.
Don't forget the social credit score they will tie to your ability to use currency. Are you spreading dangerous misinformation about the 2020 Election? We're going to limit you to withdrawing $10 a day. ("we" being a cabal of banks and big tech, and it will be completely Constitutional)
More like we've closed your account and since it was just numbers in a computer you SOL...
Doesn't a trojan horse have to appear as a good thing on the outside? These passports are like rolling up to the gates of Troy with a battering ram and promising they are only going to use it for their health and safety.
It's never been about the vaccine for me, it's about this passport stuff. Get everyone in a habit of an electronic authorization to do anything in life and the door is open. The next thing will be, "Why don't we use the passport system to control ______?" Limit the amount of times you can do an activity for climate change? Check. Tackle white supremacy by not allowing whites to do things certain days? Check. More covert things like "breaking" your passport because you wrongthinked on the internet? Check.
