It's not extremism, it's opposing the rise of a jewish cabal that wishes to enact the very same slander and myths that have been used to defame the jewish people for centuries. They have two different ceremonies, Kol Nidre and Hatarat Nedarim, where they unilaterally annul all promises they have made and are going to make. This includes oaths to God. If they are willing to break an oath to God, what chance do you (someone of a different race, different religion, different culture, who has the misfortune to live near a jew) have to make them keep an oath to you?

There's definitely something about how secularism/atheism manifests in the mind of someone raised Jewish that creates this phenomenon with far higher frequency than it does in secular members/cultural descendents of any other religion.
