This happens all the time, no one seems to mind it as long as the people arrested are White.
Here in Canada? The famous Litton Bombing allegedly had an 'RCMP mole'. That man: found the TNT (placed there for them, ofc) designed the bomb, built the faulty timer. He was sentenced to 5 years (iirc) but was spring in less than 1. They never admitted it but...
The Oilpatch Bombings had RCMP agent(s) actually doing at least one of the bombings themselves to 'prove their credibility'.
Some Canadian neo-nazi group had their leadership rounded up... except for the #2 man, he was an RCMP agent who until then was seen as one of the most ardent backers of violence and extremism.
I mean, the entire Ruby Ridge fiasco happened because the ATF sent an agent to try and trick him into selling guns to him. When he refused, they just made up that he did it anyway and things rapidly spiraled from there.
But nobody talks about that part. We can't have people knowing the honeypots can go that badly and they will outright lie if they fail. They'd rather people think they are wholesale murderers than know how big they are into pushing people into crimes so they can arrest them.
Most conversation I've seen and been parts of focus on the shootout, instead of the lead in. Most even just accept he was a white supremacist and some crazy kook and that's why they showed up.

Nobody talks about it? That's literally the whole point of the incident. That's what the arrest warrant was for in the first place.

IDK, I've always basically heard about that. Even in the made for TV movies and stuff.
