Naturally the local news headline is GUN VIOLENCE. The neighborhood thugs will suddenly be peaceful model citizens if they don't have guns.

And the next logical step is that the guns will magically disappear if we create laws restricting the rights of suburban gun owners in safe neighborhoods.
