I’m a horror cinephile, the 80s ones were just as woke in a different way. Every big horror movie from the 80s was feminine propaganda. It became the running joke of horror movies, the trope the “final girl”, and the basis of movies that use that fact. Cabin in the Woods, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, and even Final Girls are all good horror movies that exist entirely in reverence to the trope.
You mean where the pure female would always win against the cruel masculine monster, after all the men died trying to save her but were clearly too incompetent? Or the one where the other female survives after the men sacrifice themselves for her? Or the other other one where the female must survive until some equal opposing force stops the monster? Apparently you forgot the 80s existed zoomer.
