Had an old friend tell me that the US has "no left wing" and "the FBI has been ignoring 50 years of non-stop right-wing terrorism".
I literally told him, "I don't know how you can say the US doesn't have a Left wing, coming from someone who was on it." Got silent confusion, and a slow walk-back, for that one.
It's gonna take a while to deconvert him. He has a very Left-wing authoritarian mindset.
I mean, if you ask Europeans (who am I kidding, you don't need to ask, they will butt in to tell you) that's apparently the truth according to them.
Which always made me wonder if maybe its not that we lack a Left Wing, but they lack a Right wing and are just Left and Extremer Left and biased. If its true at all.
Both America and Europe lack an actual right wing. The farthest right politician in america is a centrist, the the farthest right one in western europe is a socialist. That is how far off the rocker the west has gone.
They absolutely lack a right-wing.
Fabian Socialists have dominated Europe for over a century. Even the AfD is effectively just a Liberal party like UKIP.
Also, the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbin, was effectively a Socialist Party. It shocks me to listen to the shit they were saying, and still imagining that Britons thought they were some sort of Democrat-Like party. The Labour Party were already Socialist in the 1970's from what I can see. The UK, right now, is a Democratic Socialist state.
