Good grief. As a black man I’ll tell anyone that if they are so bothered by the fact that white males make up the majority of these hobbies then get out. Find a hobby that you enjoy with the magical diverse demographics you crave.
Stop demanding that everything revolve around you.
Why companies listen to these fools is beyond me.
As a latino(still pasty white though) I absolutely HATE when they cast a latino for a role. It feels like being given scraps, or crumbs, or something. It is insulting.
In modern days, the only "diversity" forced character done right, in my view is Spartan from Arrow. He didn't exist before the show was created, and they needed to add "diversity" into the cast, so they created him.
I absolutely loved him. Great actor, and not a Mary Sue. I would love if they made a comic book about him, or a series devoted to him. But... NAH! Let's race swap a character instead!
I guess they're glad to have a job but you'd think the actors would be offended too.
"Why'd you take this role?"
"Money, dear boy."
Agreed.
I would.
"Here, have a scrap role so you can be happy and gay!"
Totally agree. I’ve been meaning to East h Arrow. I heard first three seasons are good then it gets woke.
Oh yeah, be careful, the later seasons become insufferable. It becomes "The Adeventures of the Impossibly incredilble Felicity and friends". And with Trump's election it became even worse. (Supergirl was the worst offender in that regard)
I think the new Spiderman movies do it really well
I'm not sure there are really many in the audience that were bothered by the demographics. These attempts at virtue signaling never attract a new audience. The whiners on twitter don't buy anything.
If recall from back when I played resident evil it was already diverse and had women. The original movie had a strong female lead. But this cast seems designed to appeal to those on Twitter
