So of course when she got to study under Freud she rejected every amazing privilege she had just to go "YOU AINT NICE ENOUGH TO WOMEN" and start her own schism of feminism and "nice to women" psych work. Which is where Psychology began its long journey to hell.
Its funny. Even in a 29/30 female psychology classroom half filled with the exact type of liberal arts feminists you'd expect, my prof could barely find a way to make Horney sound like anything but a temper tantrumming baby.
Yet she is considered a very foundational early feminist and cited by most of them in the Psychology field as a central figure.
