Anymore harassment than anyone else? I remember reading once than men get a ton of harassment online but the generally don’t react to it like women.

As I recall the statistics, men get more harassment overall but far less sexual harassment, so of course that's defined as the "bad" one (the ones that happen overwhelmingly to men are, presumably, character building), because we must protect the narrative!

Ironically, the harasser doesn't care what form his or her harassment takes. The goal is simply to inflict pain. If the target is non-white, the harassment will be "racist". If the target is female, the harassment will be "sexist".

If the target is a white male in 2021, the harassment will be institutional.

An addendum to this comment is the possibility of biased reporting, though.

If you're in an online PvP game and someone says (giving a gamut of possibles here) "go fuck yourself", "I'll fuck yer mum", "we fuckin raped you last round!", or "Suck my dick, loser" (all things I've heard in a single session in Overwatch, mind you), the respondants may give different opinions.

Anita Sharkhands would say that ALL of those statements are literally raping her, forming the words into corporeal form and just ramming it in in the most literal way possible please gib money nao. Karen McKaren might understand that "Fuck you" is not actually meaning the word fuck in a sexual sense, but would say the other three might be sexual harassment. Joe Gamer would accept it as just a part of dealing with online games, but might note "suck my dick" as a sexual harassment. Timmy Tryhard would just reply in kind, because it is the language of these games sometimes.

The study doesn't fully account for this difference in lenses. They try, but seriously, do you remember the number of times someone has said "fuck you" to you online?

It is entirely possible men also receive the bulk of sexual harassment by sheer count of incidents, but they discount it as being such because "suck a dick" said in passing isn't sexual harassment to them, they've been desensitized to hate of and derogation of male sexuality.

I'm not bitch-made, you're ass-mad, this is funny.

Less sexual harassment, but plenty of that too, surprisingly. Both men and women like to attack men over that, just to a lesser degree than men and women like to attack women over it.

But most of the anger/rage/hate stuff is directed by men at men, similarly to how men are more likely to be robbed, killed, etc. We spend more time online than woman on average too I believe.

Twitter is something like 70% female, when it was looked statistically Twitter is just the constant whining of women and the reactions of other women who then are retweeted en masse. Social media is actual cancer and you can easily identify those who are eaten up by it.

Where did you get that statistic? Tumblr was primarily female users, but Twitter, I haven't seen any stats on. Don't disagree that it's basically cancer though lol.
