When everyone around you tells you you're brave and stunning and special you tend to get delusional. Same thing as with those HAES land whales. You encourage mental illness and unhealthy living and people start thinking it's okay ... until they'd rather kill themselves ... by rope or by heart attack.
I sometimes wonder what that's like. Not that I want to be delusional, but I just wonder what it would be like to live in a society that validates everything I do - just to experience it once. Like a vacation or something.
I'm an evil white male and I'm constantly told that I'm privileged, and that because I'm privileged, I need to be denied something or other - a job, an education, whatever. I just wonder what it would be like for someone to say, "oh wow! a white male! We're so glad to have you! We know you're going to improve this organization!"
And I wonder what it would be like to go to school and sit in a history class and be taught that every historical figure who looks like you is automatically good and virtuous. And beyond history class, to have race brought up in every other class - always in a way that validates me.
I can say from experience that getting one person doing that is a complete game changer. Like, its very unhealthy but having a woman who does that can completely change your entire personality and life and push you into manic delusional upbeat-ness when you are around them.
So having everyone do that has got to completely drive you into Cyclothymia. Where you get those brief highs from it (with huge diminishing returns) and then it comes crashing into mass depression the moment the fellating stops.
How else do you think that so many people fall for this shit. Even intelligent folks who go in knowing it's all bullshit can come out the other side crazy.
