The “gotcha” moments and braggers of anime’s quality I’ve seen pop up over the past year were MUCH more than they ever were in the past.
It’s disingenuous to say “it was always like this” when the number of these crazies interested clearly multiplied thanks to both sides’ screaming and yelling. Instead of the quiet gatekeeping our side should have done.
It WAS always like this, these retards didn't just spring out of the ground in 2014-15. People just started listening to them instead of saying "go back to Tumblr/LiveJournal" after they pretended to be normal, infiltrated EVERYTHING and became the majority.
