Is this them saying Black people and their culture don't matter? How rude.
Seriously. Just make a black super hero. Don’t ‘black’ existing white super heroes.
They created many interesting Black characters for DC comics in the 70's, 80's and 90's. This is just agenda by gross weirdos. White man bad, smash the system and all that.
Because I capitalize White when talking about my people.
They exist! Blue Marvel is a Marvel comics pastiche of Superman! Marvel has several such characters of different appearances that are just a copy of Superman and that's the entire point of them!
Hyperion is the most blatant since he's a carbon copy of Superman down to the "last of his race sent out in a ship, raised by adopted parents, gets power from the sun/same powers" deal but there's also Gladiator and a few others in there.
Icon from DC Comics is he same! These characters actually exist already but that's not the point. They don't want to use other characters that exist or even make new ones because that's effort they would need to put in to generate an audience when they would rather highjack existing franchises and woke all over them.
Seems like in this day and age the audience for a new good black super hero would be built in. If it was well written I’d be down, race aside.
I wonder what black americans actually think of this stuff. Do they feel pandered to? Insulted? Or do they like this nonsense?
The ones still living on the Democratic plantation I'm sure love it, as they don't possess the intelligence to see they're still slaves to the system.
I imagine the ones who understand the costs and consequence of angering the majority off to the point where there WILL be backlash even against the so-called "good" blacks see what's coming down the pipeline and SHOULD be speaking up against this stuff but probably won't.
Probably just ignore it.
