I saw KIA linked on the All Communities sidebar and from the most recent posts assumed it was dead, then I happened to notice a few KIA2 posts on communities.win and apparently this one is active.
Sorry if this has been discussed to death already. I just got here.
So elaborate. Which ones, and what did they say that constituted 'openness about their political leanings'?
It's not inevitable. But if it were, that would not show that people who censor are necessarily on the left.
They were open about it because we laterally had a "political compass quiz" thread numerous times over the years and most of them posted in it. This isn't an inference thing, its a literal self reported quiz. If I had the autistic memory you do for every detail of my drama with them, I'd give you better.
Heck I still have my own results saved from two different versions of those threads. Right here because I was interested myself. I believe the 8 values one is the specific thread I'm thinking of, if you want to find it.
Nobody said that. The methodology, and course we went down towards this inevitable end happened because of many of their political roots. Censorship is completely apolitical and can happen in many ways and for many reasons.
For example, taking them at their word, Pinky was the most Right Wing among them and was just as controversial for censorship (and all the other failings levied at them).
I am pretty well aware of the political leanings of the KiA moderators. I don't think you are remembering this correctly. I do know that one of the moderators posted a fake one as a joke.
These are generally not very reliable. According to this one, you are to my left. Surely, that is not the case.
Apparently, she was mostly stupid-wing - a QAnon type. She also called me and some others pedophiles - long before she got into fights over moderation - because we said that Pizzagate was nonsense.
Possibly, or perhaps someone's words are always congruent with their actions. Most of the 2010s the SJW types called themselves Liberal, but their actions were anything but.
In this case, when their actions and words are indistinguishable from the rest of a group, its meaningless to say "yeah but they ain't so nyeh." Same with Antifa calling themselves anti-fascist, same with real Neo-Nazis claiming they aren't anti-black, or /pol/tards saying they are just "saying the truth."
Also as an aside, my "what I wish was the case" politics and "what reality we live in" politics are very different.
Who knows, that one was a loose cannon no matter what umbrella she fell under. Though she was a great example of my previous point in that her screeching, name calling, and then banning everything made her indistinguishable from a generic SJW. Which is why everyone called her one.
Unlike you, very few of us had personal and close understanding of these people, so all we can judge them on is what we see and call it as it was. Double so if they are posting "fake political" tests.
If they were actually SJWs, they would have gotten the place banned. Believe me, they know how to if they wanted to.
Any sufficiently stupid person is indistinguishable from a SJW. Some of the Stormfags make arguments that are almost carbon copies of SJW arguments, just about Jews and not 'white men'.
Why, why do you force me to be a 'cuck'.
I think the criticism of her was quite unfair, at least initially. Even if she was a bad person or whatever at heart, the reason for the criticism was that she modded more so she got more people mad. Later on, she went full retard, perhaps because of the earlier unfair criticism & being doxxed, or maybe she was always rotten to the core. I don't know.
I think people confuse censorship for Social Justice generally. The arguments that are used for censorship are often those of SJWs.
Hell, I think sounding like an SJW may be inherent to moderators. If you noticed, DoM and I have started to sound like SJWs. E.g. using a convenient shorthand like 'violent speech' for stuff like 'inciting, cheering or glorifying violence'. When you have to censor, you may end up sounding like the people most censorship-happy.
