Women have a completely different concept of love than men do. Do not judge them harshly, just understand what they mean when they say love. It's not the abstract concept you hold in your head. It's something far more utilitarian and self-serving. Women aren't bad, they are just different.

The reason why I am reaaaally not sure about the having kids myself is because if I were to have them, I know I would be insanely anal about my own performance as a parent and would probably never forgive myself if I ever wronged my child. Which probably sounds extremely crazy, and I know for a fact it's not the right thing to do.
But because of that, I will never, ever understand people like this woman. I would be sleepless about just the idea that I may not have given my kid the absolute best of everything (don't necessarily mean physical things, but opportunities, feedback, support, etc.), but here she is, wrecking her own child and claiming that it's love. Giving the poor kid unfixable issues, stunting her growth, turning her into a non-functioning, inbetween, neutered blob at the mercy of everyone else playing along or else she is truly fucked.

It's sad that people with no standards have lots of kids and people with great standards don't out of fear that they won't live up to those standards.
