Because they keep holding events, over and over and over again, to drag people over. Only dying games spam things like this as a desperate survival strategy.
That's actually a fair point. But this game never needed it before, this is highly irregular behavior.
Player count is still down. I hope it keeps falling and all these desperate attempts fail. Then Epic might cut their losses and send this game to the Pearly Gates with Paragon and all their other flops. Oh, and all the virtue signallers will be out of a job.
Player count is possibly also down because they took it off of steam so for pc they are only pulling in traffic from epic game store. It’s also a game that’s over 5 years old at this point so player count drops regardless of tweets. The “virtue signallers” are probably one social media manager or community manager who would not get blamed for a 6 year old game losing players.
Last time there was a tie-in in RL was literally before Epic bought it. They aren't common. Throwing them in one after the other is proof that the game is dying.

You could be such a great guy if you had just a bit more common sense and ability for logical thinking. What a shame. As Dan Quayle said, a mind is a terrible thing to waste.
Also, almost every company participates in the sad spectacle of virtue-signaling for this nonsense. Am I to believe that every time a company goes bankrupt, you will be claiming that a tweet about Wahmen caused its downfall?
