[Footballer] Marcus Rashford issues heartfelt message to men after Sarah Everard tragedy:
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has issued a heartfelt appeal for men to play a bigger role in helping women feel safe.
NBC:
We rarely hear about what drives perpetrators to harm women and what needs to be put in place to stop this behavior
The grief and distress from women reacting to what happened to Sarah Everard shows just how differently women experience public space compared to men
Indeed; women are actually less likely to experience violence. Men are just less afraid of it due to biological and sociological factors. Stop making this a gendered issue.
The Guardian: "Sarah Everard: pressure for new laws to curb violence against women":
The clamour for action came as anger grew at the decision by police forces not to allow planned vigils commemorating Everard’s life. The irony of outdoor markets packed with customers, and parks crammed with people taking their daily exercise, was not lost on those who wanted to remember her in a group.
Tell that to all the other people who have been screwed over by this bullshit, likely while these same people cheered it.
The personal stories of harassment and abuse will be used by the government to inform a summer package, designed to give greater protection to women and girls.
"Equality" indeed.
Its proposals include [...] legislating to make misogyny a hate crime
This is nothing less than fascism.
Think about this.
If they really feared us, would they be this hateful towards us? Do people usually antagonise those they fear?
Women have the backing of the strongest man around, the state itself.
The state always uses women to control the actions of men.
This is why women these days are free to antagonize the average man with no cause for concern.
This isn't true if you think about it logically. Yes, the state will protect them, but how can it protect them from men who just lose it and stab the first woman they see?
Feminists aren't scared of us, because they know that (unlike them) we don't fantasise about killing. They can keep pushing and we will keep trying to rationalise it to avoid even verbal confrontation.
They don't protect individual women. They protect the group.
