Yeah, with the way that a lot of lefties project their own motivations onto their opponents, should such a thing ever come to pass, the USASR side would no doubt campaign to restrict any such weapon to themselves because were they in the position of the constitutional side of America, they'd take their first opportunity to cleanse the lot of 'em without significant blowback.
