Step 0 is finding neighbors who share your values. If you can't, then you need to move to somewhere you can.
Beyond that, within your hyper-local community try to be as self-sufficient as you can. And then teach your kids if you have them how to self-organize instead of depending on things like sports leagues and after-school activities.
I've said before "more sandlot, less little-league". In pretty much all aspects of life. We are effectively settlers in a hostile land trying to carve out our little slice. Our ancestors who settled America didn't look at the natives and say "we should integrate into their society". They formed their own. That's us now, as unfortunate as it is.
I can't think of a single company that sees 'being progressive' as a reason to get rid of someone, even if people complain, whereas 'being conservative' has definitely gotten people fired.
This just sounds like the issue addressed in the video, pretending that we're on even footing and have the same access. We don't.
You can't get them fired for being progressive, but you can get people fired for a myriad of other reasons. Use one of those other reasons and setup progressives for failure at every opportunity, while being extremely polite and cordial to them. Hide your power level.
It's true that most normal people, people on the Right, etc. lack meaningful institutional power.
This doesn't mean you don't have ANY power.
Wield the power you have, limited as it may be.
Join with people who are likeminded to increase your power.
If you avoid doing this, you're basically admitting defeat. The only losing move is not to play.
I think most of us understand at this point that the left is on a war footing and hypocrisy doesn't matter.
I'm interested in suggestions that aren't just "the boog".

In a way it is a return to American tradition if nothing else.
