Literally only 1 of the people seen were born in Canada, historical footnote Viola Desmond who the left have painted as Canada's Rosa Parks but Viola literally never fought for a single person not named Viola Desmond. She also ran off to the US (where she also died), which is an odd move for a black person claiming to hate racism- to move to a country with actual Jim Crow laws...
Pinball Clemons was born in Florida, but I think he's lived here since 89. The other person I'm pretty sure is Jean Augustine, the 1st black woman elected to the House of Commons. She was born in Grenada (which is only a few letters off from Canada, I guess) & moved here as an adult. 99.99999999% of Canadians have literally never heard of her.
Fuck the underground railroad. They should have brought their pets east, to the coast, and commissioned ships back to africa. No different than taking care of gophers by dumping them in your neighbour's yard.
The greatest kind of value of all: Meme magic value.
While France tried to ban the use of filming police officers on duty, Canada hasn't QUITE reached that point yet, and while black people are even more a minority in Canada than in the USA, they DO exist, and DO act like any other group in the population, which means one will EVENTUALLY be caught in some crime with a bad arrest.
This is a meme curse-magic shit-storm in a bottle. It's literally only a matter of time before a black man, who may or may not deserve it we don't yet know, will die, his blood splattering against MLK's decal face, all on film. I give it 7 months or so. 6 if they extend their lockdowns since that causes increases in unrest.
If you mean what THEY think the value is, it's exactly that: They think if they need to arrest a black guy and it goes wrong and he ends up a bloody smear on the side of MLK's face, everyone will go "we're not going to riot or protest like we did for Fenty Floyd, because MLK's face is on that car".
EDIT: And if this is just showboating for Black History Month, they'll get a shitstorm for removing it all at the end of the month. Lose-lose for them.
I hate to break it to you, but the ramifications of tyrants last long after they're gone. I've toured a bit of ex-USSR nations. They're on their feet, but you can tell basically how long they'd been under USSR control, even though it fell apart mostly at the same time.

Your comment made me wonder (and worried) whether or not Pinball Clemons is woke or not.
I didn't realize that he's the GM of the Toronto Argonauts CFL team again.
It looks like he stopped updating his Twitter in 2017, so it will remain a mystery for now.
Fucking Canucks, those are our black people. Get your own.
.. wait.
based?

Narrator: And it didn't end well
So to bring them north was deliberately malicious.
Black people don't exist in Canada
(Looks at recent immigration.)
Don't worry, they're fixing that.
I read the CBC sometimes. Isn't 65% of Canada made up of black and native people? The rest are racists, forever devoted to filthy evil.
And this kind if pandering here, is cringe as fuck. What possible value could that have?

Its gonna be a long 4 years for all of us, isn't it?
