Communities like gaming, sports, etc. have been officially released:

I'll keep an eye on them, but I prefer smaller communities like this and even Half-KIA. On that note: what are you playing right now?
I went out of town to decompress a bit this weekend. I really need to get out of the city permanently at some point. So, for the most part I'll be just hanging out outside trying to get some fresh air and hopefully sunshine. Didn't bring a tablet or computer just my phone and I don't get attached to it as much. I did bring old Nintendo DS and some games in case I need something to kill time with no TV and sporadic internet. So I guess right now, Sonic Advance 3 and Tetris DS.
Just for a couple days though. At home I've been finishing up Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and an FPS game called Singularity for the most part. Although I bounce around a lot.
Have you considered hacking your DS? I have a Vita and the most fun I had was going doing just that, and I spent ages creating a custom theme (background images, took the music from somewhere else).
Plus it had the benefit of not using Sony's insane (unreliable) proprietary hardware.
Nintendo data mines way more information than any other manufacturer though.
I haven't but I'm not opposed to it. I looked a while back and I think on an old DS it doesn't offer a ton since it's still a pretty basic just game player.
What I'd really like is less of a hack and more just buying something, and that's one of the cartridge adapters that let me play GB Advance games from ROMs. DS plays them in hardware and not emulated so can only play from the actual slot. I don't mind collecting actual games, but they are just getting ridiculous in price now.
I love encountering fellow Vita players. There are, unfortunately, way too few of us. Sony really fucked up, and not enough people got to appreciate this insanely good console.
For a "dead" system, it has amazing community support; occasionally new fan translations come out.
I really need to learn Japanese, I know some Kanji, but haven't practiced it in more than half a year and it was pretty tenuous to begin with...still, better than nothing, and 1 day I hope to experience some hidden gems.
I played Singularity. It was pretty aright.
Even if you hadn't told me I would have said that exact same thing about Advance 3. The level design is atrocious. Otherwise there's nothing wrong with it, but well levels are really important part of the same.
I have not played any of the others. Prior to about this time last year, I had only played Sonic games for the most part on Game Gear as a kid (when it was still a thing). I started with some of the Genesis ones on emulators and I wouldn't say I fell in love but for a genre I don't really love it's a lot of fun. I just bought Sonic Advance 3 this week, saw it for cheap at local game store. I'll probably start looking for others. Been doing a lot of getting out of the city to camping cabins and such and DS is perfect for a form of entertainment that's small and totally disconnected, so it's been getting a lot of use rather than collecting dust.
Yeah, that's been a long, long time ago. I had to go look to see what they were and I know I had 1, 2, and Spinball. I think's that's it. I don't really remember enough to say what I thought except when I started playing some of the Genesis games in the last year or two I instantly got it for the most part. I'm not particularly good at any of them.
Highly likely I get more of them, and keep up playing some of the older (and newer ones). Particularly the portable ones. They aren't usually crazy expensive either.
