This bear better wake the fuck up because he seems to be hibernating so far.
I'm sorry but it really looks like he didn't see the voter fraud coming, he didn't see the violence coming, he didn't see the banning's coming, and he didn't see the betrayal's coming. And look, I know what he said. But where's the redundancy? Where was his army of lawyers ready to go to war over this? Why in God's name, did I still hear that Republican poll watchers allowed themselves to be pushed out of polling centers without activists showing up and banging on the windows to scream "LET. THEM. IN."
Trump's a strong willed guy, but where the fuck is his organization? Does he have no loyalists?
If Trump was ever going to put up a fight, it's right now because they are going to go after his family.
I don't know what they'll do with Trump, they'll definitely try to imprison him. But I'm serious when I say I think they'll try to kill Don Jr.
Because Don Jr. is plenty of a fire-brand, is more well-versed in the culture war, and is much younger than his father. If 4 years of oppression, lockdown, hyper-inflation, and state sponsored terrorism go down, which it will, Don Jr. is going to be an absolute force to be reckoned with. Voter fraud or no. And for that, they might put a bullet in him.
Trump isnt the bear in this analogy. His base is, along with the disaffected in the middle who hate the establishment.
If I had to make a comparison for Trump, he is either the Gracchi Brothers or even Julius Caesar (with his own Brutus in the form of Pence). With that, I do wonder who the Octavius/Augustus in this scenario will be, as one will absolutely rise (Octavius was a Plebian after all).
I guess Jr. could be an option, but I do share your fear that he will be a target. I just pray that their hubris does them in like many a tyrant in history.
The more time goes on the more it appears that no, he had none in almost any position he filled or had power. Everyone he appointed seemed to be either willing to betray him the moment it got tough, or were always Swamp creatures just capitalizing on his power plays.
That's the part that almost makes me sad, looking here at the very end and what we know it truly appears that he had almost no one supporting him in the government and you really can't take on your opposition alone. Especially not knowing your "supporters" will screw you at the last moment.
Maybe I'm being melodramatic. He still failed plenty, but more and more I keep asking "what chance did he have" as everyone dependable sells out over basically the last month.

In that case, yeah, the bear's waking up alright.
