Pack the Supreme Court. Add left-leaning states. Break up others to give the left huge margins in the Senate. Get rid of the Electoral College. Abolish the police. Rewrite the nation's history, with white supremacy and racism placed "at the very center." Ensure "equity" not just in opportunity but in outcomes. Hell, maybe they'd even establish a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to teach everyone who voted for or supported the 45th president just how evil they really are.
I wasn't prepared for the degree to which republicans would stab us in the back, nor did I realize how quickly and enthusiastically the leftist knives would come out. I figured the next four years would be bad. They're going to be much, much worse than that.
Even Ted Cruz is grovelling now. It's beyond pathetic.
IDK, I kinda did. That's actually why I think this will go well in the long run. They've basically lost their bananas because they've been humiliated. This is going way faster than I even dared hope for. This is great. I absolutely can't wait for whats coming.
I absolutely fucking can wait.
That said, I also get where you're coming from. There may come a time where such things are necessary, perhaps we're already there, but it should never be celebrated. This is not great; people died, more people will die, and even if everything does kick off, there's no guarantee we end up with anything better than what we started with, and may end up with something much worse.
I'll be honest here, I'm excited because I have virtually nothing to live for. My mom will pass in a few years, and once I no longer have to care for her, there will be nothing keeping me here.
I don't expect others to be as excited as I am about what's coming, but I can't contain how giddy it makes me. I've been immersed in this shit since before 2014. I knew even then there was no stopping what was coming. When you've been anticipating/dreading something like this for a significant fraction of your life, I think it makes sense to make peace with it when it finally arrives.
So yeah, people will die. Doesn't matter to me. Does that make me a psychopath? Eh, maybe. But I'd wager it just makes me someone who has lost too much already.
