It's been morphing into a "this is a word the right uses against us and here's what it means and why you should think it's stupid" tool for a few years now, but sites have been dropping the neutral ground facade at an accelerated pace lately.
Someone else put it best: they're done playing the long game because they think the game is almost over.
Yes, the game is almost over, but probably not in the way they think.
The leftist SJW will be crushed into dust, either by the tyranny they worked so hard to establish, or by the Patriot's hands once their schemes are forever foiled.
Someone posted one months ago that was just random numbers that the far left was trying to push because the definition was just what they wanted to put out there.
Urban Dictionary has had a different word of the day every day for the better part of 20 years. It’s completely natural that people would be pissed off that they’ve run nothing but anti-Trump shit for weeks. Not just because it doesn’t “share your politics,” and not even just because it’s political, but because it fucks with the format.
Urban Dictionary is about the simplest fucking web application a person could possibly implement.
I could write you a clean room implementation of it in any of a half dozen different languages in a couple weeks.
Why not instead of complaining that services you use don't like you, you create new services?
God, I remember the days when people would stand up their own modded phpBB's just because they didn't like the mods at anime-planet; now there was ground zero of the SJWs...

The value in Urban Dictionary obviously doesn’t lie in its codebase. It lies in its user base and decades of contributed content.

Much if not most of the difficulty in creating a free speech version of an existing platform doesn’t lie in technical challenges but the fact that the media and its lapdogs will try their damndest to deplatform you and may even come after you personally. Most of us don’t have the resources to give up our jobs because CNN might decide they don’t like our site and dox us while labeling us as far-right extremists.

Hinges on the fact that you give a damn what they think.
I don't. I didn't care when WeHuntedTheMammoth called me a Nazi, and I still don't care now. I stand by what I said then.
The mass media, is dead to me. Completely irrelevant. I don't care, the people around me don't care, and the people not around me who might care certainly won't come here.

The sooner it shuts down the better.
It'll be left to die once they finish co-opting the real dictionary sites.

Yeah, the fish is the only thing that's Manley in that place.

I could write a scraper to walk their content in an afternoon.
And probably get sued for scraping it in even less time.
