Here's the thing I don't get about the "Don't question the science" crowd.
Why not?
Science is built upon continual examination and re-examination of the rules and data. That's why physics has far less of a reproducibility crisis than sociology.
Journalists are constantly drilling the government about schools, where there is less risk than for the seasonal flu. Government wastes tens of millions of dollars per month in useless prevention, "distance (non)learning", crippling the kids education to the extent failures went up from 10% to 30%.
The government officials interract with journalists daily and read Twitter journo circle-jerking about the Wuflu "apocalypse", so they get caught up in the mass hysteria.
But journos don't investigate the constant infractions to hygene protocols in elderly care facilities and hospitals. That results in daily new virus hotspots in the facilities that should have been virus-proofed since March.
How is it possible for the whole staff and patients of multiple hospitals to infect eachother when they souldn't even be getting close or using the common dining areas?
Because they do get close, and they keep chilling and snacking together in the employees room, touching the same microwave, cabinets, doorknobs, etc.
Some employees contacted the media to tell them the admins were still shuffling sick patients into different zones when respecting hygene mesures caused an inconvinience, and that employees from plagued zones were still sharing dining rooms with employees from plague-free zones.
They are screwing everything up because they keep wasting all their attention and ressources where it dosen't matter. Remain extremeley rigid with rules thst shouldn't exist, but cave and don't enforce the rules that actually matter ( such as in caring facilities and hospitals ).
"Obligation to use condoms in monogamous relationships as couple has sex once a week, but not for turbo-sluts fucking a different partner every day "because it's too great an inconvinience for the latter"."
100% broken disease prevention logic.
Was the dumbest person avaliable nominated for that seat?

Unquestioned science is bad science.
Science™ isn't objective analysis of empirical evidence. It means consulting the state sanctioned priests and hunting heretics.

Thank the Emperor! Someone who recognizes that 2+2=5 is a sign of chaos and will treat it appropriately.
