Anyone saying you hope they're okay, ask yourself, what would they say about you?
there is important subtlety in this. outright hoping somebody gets hurt is a shitty behavior.
but... yeah, you're kinda right otherwise. a solid 80% of the people in there, after ubisoft's ""diversification"", would probably hate me purely because i'm white and eat meat or something.
mercy is a virtue no matter what so hoping they get hurt is a terrible thing. but you sure as fuck don't have to give these nupeople the respect of actually wishing they keep living.
Sure, but I am not them, why should I behave in the same shitty way? I hope they are okay.
Well that's you.
I never claimed to be better than them. Just opposed to them.
I am shitty. Let's gooooo
I agree, I hope they are safe (and it turns out they likely were), but there's no question that if any of us were shot in the head, they'd say the same thing this guy did:
Don't put PR twitter assholes in the same basket as the poor intern who models another Viking foot on unpaid overtime.
I don't think you know anything about the industry.
They do it to themselves. I have zero sympathy for the vidya peons, because they do it to themselves.
Do you know why the peons make squat and get treated as an expendable resource? Because they ARE an expendable resource. Every vidya hiring desk has an inbox ten thousand applications deep.
This is why I don't work in vidya. I work in (different industry). Where the pay is great and the hours are trivial.
