It's the double standard. Things they like are ok, things other people like are bad.

Think of any time you've seen a slightly cringey patriotic/Trumper demonstration on social media, everyone will talk about what stupid, backwards people they are, how bad they look, they'll go in-depth to mock and belittle them. Then you take a step back and think "The people making fun of someone for wearing a red, white, and blue cowboy hat are the people who cheer for fucking Pride Parades."

They have no real leg to stand on.
