Though the old school commies did actually have a bit of that race or gender struggle if you look it up , but there was much more focus on "class" but now they make it more focused on race, gender, sexuality, etc. etc. with class struggle still being there but more in the background.

I think you could argue it would have happened anyways, but that's sort of irrelevant at this point considering how the media reports on these issues. We know that at a minimum the elites are taking advantage of the situation by hyper focusing on it, pushing it, and never being critical of it.

It was always going to lead to that from the original base of class struggle. The fundamentals being that someone or some group is oppressing another. It was evil now as it's evil today. Because it's always blaming someone else for one's problems instead of working to fix them.
Also because old-school commies were a lot less diverse (Read: Mainly white). I know people point to Antifa being mostly white, but that's assuming they're the only ones that push marxist ideology, which isn't the case.

Classical Marxists are strict materialists, but they have long since been rejected and dismissed because Marxism has effectively be re-defined into new structures. Our observation of this is what we call "Cultural Marxism". Because we observe enemy movements, our enemy attempts to discredit those movements as a "conspiracy theory" so that we don't realize how they organize themselves.
