If the red states split off and did their own thing, do you think in the long term the left would leave them alone?
That said people should start thinking about moving to states/regions more in line with their socio-political affiliation for the simple tactical reason that there is strength in numbers. And if you're in a Blue state that didn't flip Red this election (or were in a previously Red state that flipped Blue), you should assume that it will be Blue for at least your lifetime.
We also didnt think that our cities would be on fire and race relations would be worse that in the 60s a decade ago. Color revolutions always go one way, and it always means mass slaughter.

I don't know what the solution is, but retreating from communists to the countryside has typically resulted in artificial famines and genocide.
