I'm really sorry, man. This whole situation is so fucking crazy, I keep thinking I'm going to wake up from the dream, but it gets more insane every day. I was chatting with an Australian on Discord last year who was describing things as "draconian" and I kind of thought he was being a drama queen, at the time. But: nope. I really hope mass resistance with somehow save the day.

Do you get the sense that most other people there are aghast at what's transpiring or are people afraid to talk about it? Do the journalists think they'll be spared for their allegiance? I guess I'm most surprised that almost all of your premiers are going along with this -- is it Queensland that isn't playing ball? Do you have any rights to call for recall elections? When are your next elections? For me, over the last 2 years or so, I've also had to have a reckoning with media that I had previously believed was, if not unbiased, at least honest -- and which clearly is not lol. And then having to question everything down to the roots that I've been led to believe, i.e. if they can't tell the truth about xyz, there's no reason to trust they were ever telling the truth about abc.
