The sculpture designed by leftist artist Luke Perry, dubbed the ‘Strength of the Hijab’, will be erected in the English town of Smethwick in October and will stand 16 feet (five metres) and weigh approximately one tonne. According to a report from the BBC, the Birmingham suburb statue is thought to be the first of its kind, with even Islamic countries not celebrating the hijab in such a manner.

That is actually hilarious.

Mr Perry said: “The Strength of the Hijab is a piece which represents women who wear hijabs of the Islamic faith, and it’s really there because it’s such an underrepresented part of our community, but such an important one.

“They need visibility, it’s so important, so working with the community to come up with the designs has been really exciting because we didn’t know what it was going to look like until now.”

Hahahahaha. I don't think he even realizes the absurdity of that statement.

The leftist sculptor previously worked on the ‘Black British History is British History’ sculpture, which was unveiled in Winson Green earlier this year. Shortly after its installation in May, the sculpture was defaced with graffiti.

Makes sense. He's a grifter.

Perry said that while his new sculpture in Birmingham — a minority-majority city according to the latest census — could be deemed as “controversial” for various reasons, he added: “I don’t feel like any of them are valid, but people do, there are a lot of people who object to the differences that we have in our communities and would like them to be more divided.

Of course, making a divisive and offensive work of art will....stop the divide?

“But the future of our country is about what unites us, not what pulls us apart, which is why it’s important to have representation across the whole of the UK, of everybody that lives here.”

Ah, there it is.

According to a letter published by VICE News, an OUR employee who accompanied Ballard on an undercover operation accused him of sexual harassment.

Ah, Vice news. A beacon of ethics.

“It was ultimately revealed through disturbingly specific and parallel accounts, that Tim has been deceitfully and extensively grooming and manipulating multiple women for the past few years with the ultimate intent of coercing them to participate in sexual acts with him, under the premise of going where it takes and doing ‘whatever it takes’ to save a child.”

"Disturbingly specific and parallel accounts." The sheer irony of not questioning why different women all provide the EXACT SAME STORY is noted.

This is what happens when a public figure who leans Conservative tries to speak up nowadays.

I thought about that but Predator and Alien are two different franchises, mixing in Predator adds like 8 movies.

Buckle up, this guy gets away with everything imaginable.

Minhaj, born in 1985 in the United States to Muslim Indian immigrants, made a name for himself on The Daily Show and his own Netflix comedy series, Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj. He won a Peabody Award in 2018 for the short-lived (2018-2020) Netflix series.

Minhaj relays several stories during his show. To name a few, he has claimed that a white girl refused to go to a high school homecoming dance with him, tells the tale of a “brother Eric” who infiltrated a mosque for the FBI, and even told the harrowing tale of an envelope with “white powder” in it spilling all over his daughter.

He also tells the story of Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner arrogantly sitting in a chair reserved for a formerly imprisoned Saudi activist at a Time 100 gala in 2019. He now admits that never happened.

How is that comedy?

In an interview with the New Yorker, Minhaj explained that he tells all these false stories for “emotional truth” and that none of them really happened to him.

The comedian went on to say that, in his opinion, the “emotional truth is first. The factual truth is secondary.”

Classic.

The magazine had spent some time trying to track down some of the people that Minhaj mentions in his “emotional truth” stories on stage, but it was unable to verify most of the claims he makes. The magazine also discovered that some of the people he mentions in his act have tried to get him to stop using their names and stories, but Minhaj has ignored their requests.

So not only does he lie, the people who he lie about get harassed and he ignores their requests to stop publicly lying about them.

The “white girl” who supposedly left him standing at her front door and ditched him for homecoming, for instance, says that no such incident ever occurred and that she had turned him down many days before when he first asked her to the dance. She also says that she and her family frequently face online attacks when Minhaj fans link her real identity to the fake anecdote.

The magazine also found out that the “brother Eric” who Minhaj claims infiltrated a mosque never did any such thing. Indeed, the man said he was in prison in 2002, the year Minhaj said he was infiltrating a mosque for the FBI. Minhaj admitted that the whole story was a fiction made up for his show.

The story of his daughter being exposed to a “white powder” sent to him in the mail, supposedly causing him to take the girl to the hospital, also turns out to be fake. Minhaj says that he did receive an envelope with white powder in the mail, but he just threw it out and his daughter was never exposed to it.

BULLLLLLSHIT. What a joke.

The magazine also found instances of alleged sexism in the writers room of his TV series, Patriot Act. Several female researchers who were hired as “fact-checkers” for the political stories Minhaj used as fodder for his comedy said that they were eventually shunted out of the show and that Minhaj only relied on male writers.

Surprise Surprise. How come Louis CK is banned but this guy gets all his mistakes hidden?

In fact, several female employees filed a lawsuit against Minhaj and Netflix for gender discrimination in a case that was eventually settled out of court. The lawsuit was only revealed after Netflix canceled Patriot Act.

Makes sense.

Here is the cherry on top:

Despite the flood of lies. all personalized as if they actually happened in his life, Minhaj told the magazine that he does not regret his actions.

“I don’t think I’m manipulating. I think they are coming for the emotional roller-coaster ride. To the people that are, like, ‘Yo, that is way too crazy to happen,’ I don’t care because yes, f* yes—that’s the point. It’s grounded in truth,” he insisted.**

“I think what I’m ultimately trying to do is highlight all of those stories. Building to what I think is a pointed argument as opposed to a ‘pointless riff’ of jokes,” Minhaj explained.

I saw that Lynch Dune edit and enjoyed it. Then again I like anything Dune related so I'm biased.

Let me know how that Hobbit edit is, curious to see what they did with that.

You are 100% correct about Alien 4, it is the 'goofy' Alien film. That comes from the directors, who tend to insert really surreal and black humor into their work.

I recommend you check out Delicatessen and City of Lost Children, their two masterpieces. Both are pitch black as far as comedy and theme goes, they throw in a ton of dali-esque surreal sci fi stuff. Delicatessen makes some incredibly fucked up themes really funny and strange...it is just how they handle sci fi.

That's why most people hate it, and I don't blame them for it. You really have to appreciate the unique approach Jeunet takes in his films and he refused to change for a major film. It ends up with a bizarre mix of horror and sci fi.

Seriously check those two films out though they are both bangers. Subtitled, don't do the dubs they are awful.

Yeah both of the AVP films end up being pretty decent despite some wokeness and dumb shit beginning to creep in.

Personally I wished someone competent handled a few Predators hunting Aliens and totally remove the human element...or minimizes it. The concept is awesome but they always screw it up by focusing on some sob stories to fill in space because they can't figure out how to make two alien species interacting interesting.

The size always bugged me.

Every single film got the dimensions wrong on the xenomorph from Alien. They simplified the creature from Giger's vision into something more bland and easily reproducible. They also made them smaller and the heads much different.

Overall they turned it from a detailed, interesting, intelligent and efficient stalker into just rampaging zerglings.

I heard that theory a while ago about the weaponry in Aliens explaining their effectiveness against the xenomorphs but explosive or armor piercing rounds would have triggered the cold fusion chamber they were inside that required them to give up their mags in the first place.

They also infer that those sentry guns basically destroys hundreds of xenomorphs considering the population of the colony that was taken over.

TerpenoidTester 5 points ago +5 / -0

I couldn't stand how a single xenomorph went from a goddamned nightmare in Alien into just bullet magnets in Aliens.

Weakening the main opponent simply so you can churn through them in action scenes was such a stupid choice.

In the suit against Meta, which was filed this week in a California federal court, the writers accuse the Facebook parent of vacuuming up mass quantities of books across the Internet in order to train the company’s “Llama” large-language model using data that included pirated versions of their writings.

Weird that they are using torrented versions? Why? Simply because it is easier or to save money?

Other writers including Stephen King, Zadie Smith, and Michael Pollan are among a growing list of authors whose works are being used to train A.I. platforms, according to a recent report.

No wonder these AIs always end up so retarded...

Weird timing I actually just watched Prometheus last night and I'm watching Covenant tonight.

I consider Alien to be a masterpiece, although I'm not as big of a fan of Cameron's Aliens. I thought it deviated too far from the formula of the original.

Prometheus really was just a pointless fucking movie to make. It doesn't add anything it just seems like an interesting diversion. There's no basis in science or fact and the characters are all dogshit.

I'm watching it chronologically (AVP / AVP 2 / Prometheus / Covenant / Alien / Aliens / Alien 3 / Alien Resurrection) to make sure to end on a strong note. I'm one of the few people who enjoy Alien 3 / Alien 4 mainly because I'm huge fans of the directors involved (finch / Jeunet) and I appreciate them both putting their stamp on the franchise while keeping with the original themes.

But Prometheus and Covenant are just...so unnecessary.

The safety of the technology is clear cut.

There actually is a recent peer reviewed study showing some significant damage and worrying conclusions from their data.

I don't know much about the 5G conspiracy theories but there is at least one peer reviewed study showing it is dangerous.

So here is the life of a race grifter.

The Daily Mail visited Bryant on campus at the University of Virginia where they tried to land an interview. The outlet exchanged contact information with a woman who purported to be Bryant’s sister, but they were unsuccessful in securing the interview.

Moments before the outlet left, they received a phone call from Sean Lawton, who introduced himself as Bryant’s manager.

Oh she has a manager now?

“Zyahna feels threatened right now. This is now about her security,” Lawton told the outlet.

“The biggest concern right now is about her security and her safety,” Lawton added. “That means this has now fallen into the domain of a legal matter which means we are unable to offer any comment at this time.”

"Has now fallen into the domain of a legal matter" hahahahaha holy shit where did she find this guy?

Within 20 minutes of the call with Lawton, the outlet received a second phone call from Charlottesville’s Chief Police Mike Kochis.

A call in 20 minutes from the Chief of Police? Wow.

Kochis explained he received a call from Bryant saying that “she was feeling uncomfortable” and wanted to “get ahead of any situation.”

The Chief of Police is doing this? Personally?

And don't forget what this fat cunt did to get 'famous'

At that time, Bryant had taken to social media to claim that then-University of Virginia student Morgan Bettinger had said the BLM protestors would make “good speedbumps,” despite there being no evidence of her having said that.

The rumor resulted in Bettinger being attacked by a woke mob and swept up into a campus-wide scandal that sparked a more than year-long investigation by the university itself. While Bettinger was eventually cleared of the allegations, her reputation was nonetheless destroyed, and those who were behind the fake charges suffered no repercussions.

Yeah they have done this a few times now to 'correct' him. They basically infer he meant to say something else so the official records reflect it and no documentation regarding the 'correction' is made.

The White House quietly edited a transcript of Biden’s remarks at a community college in Maryland after another racist slip-up.

BIDEN: "We've seen record lows in unemployment, particularly, and I've focused on this my whole career, particularly for African-Americans and Hispanic workers and veterans—You know, workers without high school diplomas!"

Turned into:

The White House transcript reads: “We’ve seen record lows in unemployment particularly — and I’ve focused on this my whole career — particularly for African Americans and Hispanic workers and veterans, you know, and the workers without high school diplomas.”

The permanent record is now Wikipedia. Anyone can apparently change it for any reason.

This got a good laugh out of me.

Bloomberg Washington Correspondent and host Annmarie Hordern asked, [relevant exchange begins around 44:00] “So, we have crude prices, WTI above 90 today. So, that’s a significant development. The IEA says we’re going to see a significant shortfall. And we’re past peak driving season here in America and we have prices approaching $4 a gallon. What does the administration have in its toolbox to potentially insulate consumers at the pump?”

Hochstein answered, “So, let me make a couple of points, because you’re right, the facts are there. The President has been clear that he wants to make sure that American families have less of a burden and that costs don’t hurt American families, especially families that have more than two drivers, and he is still committed to that. We see a couple of factors that are coming into the oil price increase: One is…OPEC has decreased supply and constrained supply and they did that when prices were significantly lower than they are today. Since that decision, prices have come back up, to some degree because of that.”

He continued, “The other factor is that Bidenomics works. We have an economy that is strong and we have a labor market that is strong where wages are higher than costs, and when that happens, when you have a strong economy and stronger than people had expected to have at this point as resilient as it has [been], then you also have demand growth. So, there is stronger demand when you have stronger manufacturing and stronger productivity, in comes demand growth.”

I mean this is beyond pathetic. I've never seen any administration so openly deceptive and frankly this has reached the point that could be constituted as treasonous.

Page is starring as a trans man in the upcoming feature Close to You and says there will be shirtless scenes in the film.

Imagine an actor or actress talking about how excited they are to do a topless scene. Peak irony.

“I don’t understand why it’s split into just two genders when we all know it’s a much bigger spectrum. Whatever the mix is, we should maybe just break down any of those categories that end up being divisive and unnecessary,” Jackman told the BBC in 2022.

Dammit Jackman. You were one of the good ones.

Corrin, who claims to be “non-binary” and uses the pronouns “they/them” said, “I don’t think the categories are inclusive enough at the moment. It’s about everyone being able to feel acknowledged and represented,” according to the Metro.

Ahahahahahah.

Here is the real kicker:

The Crown’s Olivia Williams, for one, said “actress” categories should stay, saying, “Until there’s a 50-50 opportunity, then we still need to have our own categories.”

What the fuck?

The Daily Mail reported Thursday that a morbidly obese BLM activist at the University of Virginia (UVA) has been rewarded by Dove, one of the most prominent and woke beauty brands in America. This news comes despite the fact she ruined a white student’s life at the school three years ago over a remark Bryant later claims she may have “misheard.”

22-year-old Zyahna Bryant was hired by Dove to promote “fat liberation” to end the “stigma” of being overweight. The Daily Mail notes Dove has long associated itself with woke causes promoting “body positivity.”

It's math. Mathematically the chances are nearly zero. Even if there was signs of aliens it would be withheld permanently.

The ONLY reason this is happening right now is deflection. Mathematically impossible events don't suddenly occur right after major dysfunction with world Governments.

TerpenoidTester 13 points ago +14 / -1

It isn't a theory. Does anyone with a functioning brain really believe that now, of all times, is when they finally admit to alien life?

Give me a fucking break. Sometimes the circus is far too easy to see, and this is one of those times.

“It’s not uncommon to see Jews in movies and television, but it is most common to see Jews boxed into stereotypes and tropes that create a narrow — and often negative — impression of the Jewish people,” ADL CEO and national director Jonathan Greenblatt said in a statement issued Tuesday.

Wait, it gets better.

“We know that many Americans only learn about Jews and Judaism through the media, and many say they have encountered antisemitic comments or tropes from movies, TV and pop culture. At a time of rising antisemitism, we must take a hard look at how Jews are portrayed onscreen and in culture more broadly.”

Hmm...

Oh wait! There's more.

The new institute will also publish research, including reports evaluating positive and negative Jewish representation in entertainment, and establish “best practices” for producers, writers, and TV show creators when developing Jewish characters and storylines.

Positive and negative representation? Boy I wonder what that means.

ADL leaders said the Los Angeles-based institute will work with industry leaders as well as other nonprofit organizations, including the left-wing Common Sense Media.
