Maurice Holoway, a witness, told CBS Philadelphia that he and several others tried to get Wallace to drop the knife, to no avail. However, he said if police felt they had to shoot, they should have hit him in the leg "or not shoot him at all."
-Thanks Joe Biden for that fallacy.
Wallace's father, Walter Wallace Sr., questioned why officers used deadly force. "Why didn't they use a Taser?" he asked, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "His mother was trying to defuse the situation."
-Because a taser doesn't stop someone 100% of time from lunging at you and stabbing you in your throat or femoral artery. Cops are not paid to die because your mentally ill son decided to kill people.
After looking at the video, I'm slightly more neutral, but the police still were protecting themselves from that scenario. The guy with the knife was moving directly towards the police and was 10' away when he was shot. The police were right in self defense.

Its better to wait for the video to be released to see exactly what took place. But if that mentally insane man was charging at the cop with a knife, the cops were right to fire in self defense. Cops are not being paid to die at the hands of the mentally ill.
