To be fair, OP's use of "--" is a VERY common shibboleth of AI usage. Normal people don't use double-hyphens much at all, even internet-normal people, while AI absolutely LOVES them for some reason.

It's like... If someone came out wearing a swastica and declaring that Jews were causing problems in their homelands, your first thought would be "nazi", not "tribal indian who still uses the swastica in their religious iconography". The latter is perfectly possible, as is someone who enjoys using "--" instead of an AI doing it, it's just not the first thought that comes to mind. Or the second.
