I think Jared would be a lot more popular if he wasn't extremely suppressed in the 2010s. He was basically banned off Twitter and Youtube.
As far as a critique of his messaging I would say that his laser focus on racial advocacy does hurt his reach at times since he doesn't discuss trending topics, but I think he's fine with that.
