It'll be shit. There is no one alive who is capable of adding anything new to Tolkien's universe that won't be immediately apparent as drastically inferior. And putting the hunt for Gollum to screen will involve making up a ton of stuff, as Tolkien didn't write much detail about what actually happened. It'll be like asking some jeet who works at GM to complete an unfinished Enzo Ferrari design. Tolkien was a once in a century writer and his equal has likely not even been born yet. They will be reading and teaching Tolkien 500 years from now. Nothing anyone else has tried to add will be remembered a decade from now.
