There was a time - hopefully already in the past - when the only people who defended whites were "turbo racist gang members". This doesn't mean that white peoples don't need defending. You can't be an eternal doormat just because one of your ancestors was "evil".

Similarly, you can't be the eternal victim, your every whim beyond criticism or reproach, because your ancestors were "oppressed".

Makes me think of prison culture. Every racial group defines their friend/foe distinction based entirely on race, but only whites are accused of racism and supremacy. White peoples merely reciprocating the basic survival instincts of directly adjacent non-whites is somehow branded evil.
