You'd think technology making economies vastly more productive would have the opposite effect, but that's never been the case. That surplus productivity just goes to shareholder profits, and propping up those sectors of the economy that do not produce anything at all, like banking.

With the decreasing amount of spare time to actually raise a family, children are raised by the state, television, and the Internet. Or not at all.
