Their founding mythology is “we, the good guys won WWII.” Therefore everything “we” do is correct, and everything opposed is incorrect. Race relativism is an output of that but boomers did live through the race riots of the civil rights era, and boomers were calling niggers “niggers” and kikes “kikes” when they were growing up.

But Boomers also are the most TV spoon fed generation of all time so it was not hard to shift the Overton window on them, they were the generation of “if I can see it on TV it’s real” so it was easy to rewrite the script.

Bear in mind too that boomers literally rode wave after wave of financial success their entire lives. So that’s a major point of validation of their world view. How could you Mr. Millennial, Gen Z etc. know anything about how the economy works, when I’m buying my second retirement home and you’re working as a grocery store barista ?
