Back during the Trump 1.0 campaign, had a "friend" make a big social media post about the rise of fascism in America. The root of this vile disease he identified as anti-government groups from the 90s. Dude was a poli-sci minor and damn near everyone I knew applauded and agreed with him.

I quietly killed my social media presence after that. At the time, it was a bewildered "I don't see how to live with these people (but of course we must)." Now I know the parenthetical isn't required.

Edit: On further thought, dude was working on a self-fulfilling prophecy. I was extremely lolbertarian at the time and now I am not that. And I'm not the only one.
