I don't know about that.. genuine worship of God is just keeping him in your conscious thoughts. Having holy symbols on your person and home usually is to serve as a reminder to keep him in thought.
Replace the holy symbolism with demonic and redirect your conscious thoughts towards the demonic and I'd say that is worship in some sense.
I come from a background of Hinduism and Christianity... While overseas I went to mandir and chatted with the pandit about various topics. His view of all the rituals, mantras, and everything within Hinduism is basically just respectful guided prayer... But he actually places that below simply keeping God in your daily thoughts.
