Yeah, but most people who practice a lot(I have no(edit spelling) idea how far the shot was from), build the muscle memory to immediately eject, at least if they are competitive range shooters or on the ground hunters.

An untrained person, or someone used to semis, wouldn't have that muscle memory.

I have heard/read(I have never known any closely) some military snipers are trained not to immediately eject as the glint can give away their position. I seem to have a vague association with this in my mind for northern European snipers for some reason. Career criminals who use a bolt action(if such a thing exists outside of hollywood) would probably do the same especially to not leave brass behind.

Anyway, I'm sure we have more info now(Have not looked at all since I made the comment you replied to). So we probably have better data than: more likely to be ex-military, semi-auto shooter, or tree blind hunter than a chase hunter or competitive bolt action shooter.
