I'm so tired of the whole narrative, not just in relation to China, but in general.
America is a very powerful country. We're losing that bit by bit, but we're still incredibly powerful at the moment. We don't need enemies. Rivals, geopolitical opponents, sure. Enemies? Nope.
I don't have to like any of the countries, but I'd love to normalize relations with China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and all those alleged (and often factually) Bad Actors. We might never be friends or allies, but let's try to get along a little bit.
All this talk of "pivoting to China" pisses me off. Can we please, please, please pivot to America for once?! I'm all for pivoting away from the Middle East sandbox, but I don't want to pivot right to fucking with a new Enemy. America First, bitches.
To the specific issue...how is China poisoning us? Because the narrative was through the border...which we've apparently fixed now. So even if China wants to poison us, we've drastically reduced the potency of that. Close the systems anyone could exploit to hurt us. Simple.
And, also, I agree, the pharma demons here, including the mentioned Sacklers, are more to blame anyway. To whatever extent China is pushing fentanyl, they're exploiting an existing weakness...one traitors in our own country created, ironically for many of the same reasons China may attack us. To weaken us, because we're viewed as dangerous.
Look, of that list of countries I made above, China is my least favorite. I don't like China. But it's because of how involved we are with them. Just like I dislike Israel more than other Middle East countries, because my money is going there (the money is going everywhere, to be fair, but money to Israel is causing the most problems), I dislike China because our jobs are going there. But the root of the disease still begins here, on American soil. Stop sending money to Israel, and stop sending jobs to China. Everything improves. It starts here. I don't have to like China, but it's our rulers who are hurting us, China is just along for the ride.
