Im not sure if boomers in Japan are less anti immigrant than the youth , or whether they are just ignorant and don't pay close enough attention to what's going on..
LDP was considered the "centre right conservative" party that everyone voted for for a long time, but in recent years they took a hard left turn after Shinzo abe died . But instead of adjasting to this change the boomers just stayed with what they are familiar with and carried on voting for LDP.
Then again it could actually be the case of the younger right wingers are simply more far right than the older ones. Like in the West where younger right wingers are almost nazis .
