Spoken like a true liberalized Westerner. And that's not an attack, by the way. By and large, nationalism and tribalism have been drilled out of people.

Throughout all of human history, minus like the last century or two, people have wanted the best for their people...even if their people are retarded.

In that respect, Indians are more on point than the West. If Indians want to support their people, and the West, doesn't...the Indians win. No matter which side was better. If the West is better, Westerners should be striving to preserve that for their people. So far, we aren't. Sadly.
