Next you'll be telling me that you won in Vietnam because you murdered a few million Vietnamese.

Considering 76% of Vietnamese people have a positive view of the US? Then yes, we won on the long run. Amazing how they can forgive us, and the Filipinos can, and so can the Japanese, but apparently the Germans cant (having one of the lowest opinions of the US in the world).

You have culture? Coulda fooled me. Where's your Sistine Chapel?

Mt. Rushmore. Empire State Building. Trinity Church (Boston). The various monuments to our Founding Fathers. Also, the US utterly dwarfs Europe in museum and preserved items, to the point the US Museum Ship Fleet is technically the third largest navy in the world (by number of hulls).

Anything good in America comes from Europe.

Sounds like a skill issue. Maybe you shouldnt have chased your best and brightest way through your repressive government ways over the course of centuries, maybe you would be better off now than being a shadow of your former selves and refusing to even keep living (never mind thriving).

Sure, you've outdone Shakespeare, Plato, Aeschylus, Masaccio.

Hemingway. Rockwell. Mark Twain. Spielberg. The future is now old man, the only people who have heard of any of those are history nerds, with the sole exception of Shakespeare. EDIT: Also, if we want still historically significant Americans: Mahan.

Europe built railroads, you hang rainbow flags. Europe brought representative institutions, you throw bombs on kids.

And yet, they hate you. In some cases, more than us.

Those 'dust in the wind' are making videos announcing that they will take down your ships. Mighty impressive, I say.

With their no remaining missiles and all misses from last time, I feel pretty confident about our odds. Also, they are welcome to try any time now, it would be impressive to see considering they have just been big talk and no action. Like Iran, funny enough.

Long after we're both dead, Europe will still be the apex of civilization, while whatever ephemeral "power" you think you have will be long gone. That's why Athens today is still admired, and Sparta is not, even though Sparta was more powerful.

Oh no no, America is the Athens in this example, and you are the Sparta. Because even Sparta's military power was decayed from it's height when it fell into ruin, just as Europe is today (where all of Europe combined is barely able to field a single tank division, vs. America's 10). We lead the culture, we lead the military, we rule the waves, and you just live in our world because we let you. Yet again, look at the studies done on the matter. Asia has high opinions of the US (the highest in fact). Eastern Europe has high opinions of the US. Even South America is coming around to being more positive with America (with mostly the northern and Central parts around Colombia and Peru being the most popular). The only ones who hate us are the Middle East (because they are a bunch of deranged psychopaths with unhinged governments) and Western Europe. Because again, you are the Sparta that is being left in the past and is a continent who only exist in the past anymore, with no innovation, no discovery, and no advancement. Just stagnation.

A point made by Thucydides, whom you don't know because you're American,

You mean the one who said that in a major war between superpowers, the sea power will always win? And history has shown that that is indeed true, with barely any exceptions to the rule? Remind me, who currently rules the waves with enough hulls and enough fleets that we can be anywhere on the globe in hours, or days at most?

Nah, they use you for what you're worth, which ain't much.

If that is the cope you have to tell yourself for why they would rather work with us instead of their "fellow Europeans", then I guess whatever helps you sleep at night. Also, I love how you all talk about work like it is a bad thing, and not like it is one of the reasons you are being left behind. And you say WE are the lazy ones.

The Afghan government you installed did just great.

Stick with the program here. We are talking about the likes of Poland, and them buying more HIMARS than were built in the first flight, or more Apache's than the British, and replacing all of their Leopards with Abrams. And how the Romanians want to do the same thing. Or how Taiwan is buying anti-ship missiles from us. Or Australia buying submarines from us, and committing the unfathomably based action of making the French absolutely seethe (they deserved it though). Or how everyone and their dog wants F-35's, even after they bitch about us and our ways (looking at you Germany).
